Your Petitioners further respectfully beg to point out that a Building tax in the said locality is new, such tax never before having been imposed, and it is submitted that these taxes (as set shewn in subsection C of paragraph 3 of this Petition) are excessive and inequitable in as much as they are equal to the taxes imposed on building sites in the City of Victoria Hongkong whereas the said locality of Kowloon is in the New Territory and a considerable distance from the City of Victoria aforesaid.
6. Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray that you will deem it meet to advise the Government of Hongkong to further consider the question of reducing the said Crown Rents and taxes as they now appear in the Schedule mentioned in paragraph 3 hereof Subsection "B" and "C".
